The Company
APS Petroleum
Equipment is one of the largest remanufacturers of petroleum
dispensing equipment in the United States today. Anniston Pump Shop,
Inc., dba as APS Petroleum Equipment, was incorporated in 1968. The
business started as a service operation with one truck and two
employees, Joe and Charles Brown, brothers. They evolved the company
into what it is today, a remanufacturer of petroleum equipment, to
include mechanical and electronic dispensing devices. Joe served as
president until his death in 1988. Charles took over the company at
that time and held the position until the current owners, Margaret
and Pete Turner, bought APS Petroleum Equipment in July of 1999.
People and
Resources
Today, APS Petroleum
has over forty employees with a combined service time of over three
hundred fifty years, and operates from two locations; our
manufacturing facilities, with over 35,000 square feet under roof and
seven acres of yard for equipment storage, in Anniston, Alabama, and
our 12,000 square foot distribution warehouse, located in Dallas,
Texas. Our sales department is one the valuable asset, they are
trained and have knowledge about the products petroleum equipment
industry. Combining both the assets of our dedicated and loyal
employees, and our ample facilities, APS Petroleum Equipment has the
experience and know-how to do the job right.
Our Offices
Our offices are
computerized and equipped with award winning OSAStm
customer care software. We have the capability to access a common and
secure database for our inventory and accounting system, when you
call any one of us.
Inventory System
Our inventory
consists of over 5000 different part numbers from different sources.
Our inventory database is kept up to date, so that out-of-stock
situations are at a minimum and that allows us to pick and ship every
order immediately. Over 80% of our customers’ orders are shipped
within 48 hours. We are working towards a goal of 95% same day or
next day system.
Our Dedication
We are totally
dedicated to our petroleum equipment customers, and do not sell any
products not related to the industry. Customer service and
customer satisfaction are our #1 priority. To support our
manufacturing and remanufacturing operation, APS has in-house
capability of metal fabrication and electronic development. We also
have a complete machine shop with the capability of injection
molding. A new process line has been installed in 2003 for powder
coating of any of our metal fabrication. We also have an in-house
secure web server for online ordering over the internet.
